Hello! I am the 6th grade counselor and I love working at KCMS! I have been in the middle school for the past 5 years, and I am loving it. I have been a school counselor for 13 years now and I believe strongly in the work that I do to help raise and support my students to reach their highest selves. At home I stay busy with two children of my own and five pets; never a dull moment. For fun I love to swim, sing, cook, garden, read, and anything that puts me near the ocean! My name is Joni Ellis and I am so excited to be working at Ken Caryl! While being a stay-at-home mom of my three amazing red-headed children, I went back to college to earn my school counseling degree. It is something I feel called to do. My role here at KCMS is to support my students being successful academically and personally and to help them build toward their full potential. When I am not at KCMS working with the awesome students, I enjoy baking, singing, hiking, reading, and binge watching Netflix.

My name is Zach Fitzgerald and I am the school social worker for KCMS. I moved to Colorado three years ago and grew up in NY. I enjoy hiking, rock-climbing, writing music and boxing. My name is Therese Patrick and I am the new Social Emotional Learning Specialist! This is my 17th year in Jeffco as a Counselor and as a Social Emotional Learning Specialist. My husband and I have four grown up sons and we are enjoying being empty nesters with our dog Zoie. I love traveling, gardening, hiking, cooking and baking. My name is Janell Ourganian and I will be the 8th grade counselor this year. I am a Colorado native and grew up in the Littleton area. I attended Colorado State University where I met my husband of 22 years. We have two sons; one is 18 and the other is 9. I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and being out in the sun. I have worked for Jeffco for 18 years as a middle school counselor and I look forward to empowering, supporting, and guiding your student through their middle school experience.
